WESTPORT, Mass. (WJAR) Multiple farm animals were killed in a Massachusetts barn fire Tuesday morning, according to authorities. The fire on was reported at about 7 a.m. The Westport Fire Department said the town highway surveyor saw the smoke and called 911. He and the homeowners tried to save livestock in the barn.

The 26th annual Johnstown PolkaFest is happening this weekend at Peoples Natural Gas Park. It's one of the city's most popular summertime events. Organizers say PolkaFest attracts about 10,000 people over the course of the weekend.

Volunteers for the Union Cemetery in Bellefonte are preparing to honor fallen veterans this Memorial Day. They spent part of their Thursday at the Brockerhoff House making approximately 30 wreaths that will be placed on veterans gravestones ahead of Memorial Day.

DUBOIS The Dubois community came together today for a special ribbon cutting ceremony for the Rose and Dennis Heindl Memorial Field. The field is designed for kids with special needs. The stadium includes turf, solid squares for bases and is wheel chair accessible.
